Sourcing Management, BU Commodity (Vattenfall) is looking for an experienced Business Analyst to work in the team of physical power management (PPM).

The Commodity Business Unit (Commodity) is part of Vattenfall’s Customer & Solutions Nordic. Commodity supports and coordinates Business and Consumer sales on a daily basis. The main responsibilities for Commodity are physical purchasing, sales risk management, product management and sales contract portfolio management.

The responsibilities of this strategic role include:

You will be part of a team who is responsible for our PPM. You will be responsible for the volume and cost allocation of purchased power towards our sales channels. You will look after our balance management tasks such as interfaces both internally and externally. As a Business Analyst, you will also support the team by developing and managing balance settlement, load forecasting and physical trading services.

Our business is affected by legal and regulatory changes and you will be the key person monitoring changes and informing the relevant business units. You will actively participate in the work regarding regulatory changes in addition to prioritised business projects. In addition to these responsibilities, you will also be accountable for the functional area of Energy Data Management, securing efficiency in business and IT interfaces.

Professional and personal requirement
You are flexible and a service minded team player. You enjoy cooperation and developing our daily business as well as our interfaces. You are actively striving for creating value to the business and are aware of the importance of reaching targets.

As a successful Business Analyst, you have a good knowledge of the Nordic electricity market, especially physical power trading and balance management. Your excel skills are advanced and you are a competent user of various IT-systems. You should have an interest in legal and regulatory frameworks affecting the industry. Above all else, you have basic knowledge of financial accounting, business and financial controlling. Project and process management skills are seen as an advantage.

You are fluent in Finnish and English and you possess a Masters level degree in Science or Business Administration (or equivalent).
