Are you an Analyst who is interested in developing and supporting our business at Commodities?

Sourcing Management, Commodity is looking for an Analyst to work in the team of Physical Power Management (PPM).

The BU Commodity (Commodity is part of Vattenfall’s Customer & Solutions Nordic) supports and coordinates Business- and Consumer Sales on a daily basis. The main responsibilities  for Commodity are physical power management, sales risk management, product management and sales contract portfolio management.

PPM is responsible to provide physical trading services, manage load forecasting and purchase on NordPool, balance settlement and allocation of sourced electricity volumes and finally support our sales organisation with expertise and knowledge.

If you are interested to optimize and develop our balance management, tools and pricing parameters and at the same time together with Business Sales provide the best physical trading services to our customers, we can offer the perfect position for you.

The responsibilities and main task for this analyst role include:

You will be a part of the forecast analyst team in the dispatch center to do the daily load forecasting. In addition to that you will support our development of tools for analysis and optimization of parameters. Linked to that you will be administrating databases and model settings, in order to create the best prerequisites for our load forecasting and also being able to improve our administrative processes. Furthermore, you will support Business Sales in the dialog with customers.

Professional and personal requirement

You are flexible and a service minded team player. You enjoy cooperation and developing our daily business as well as our interfaces. You are actively striving for creating value to the business and are aware of the importance of reaching targets. 

As a successful Physical Power Analyst you possess an advanced knowledge of the Nordic electricity market, especially the physical market. Your excel skills are advanced and you are a competent user of various IT-systems. You also have the knowledge of managing data bases and programming. Furthermore, you are analytical, performance oriented and self-driven. You have a solution oriented mind set as well as the ability to balance the value both for our customers and Vattenfall.

You are fluent in Swedish and English and you possess a Masters level degree in Science or Business Administration (or equivalent).
