For our Civil and Structural Engineering department within Business Area Wind, we are looking for a Lead Structural Engineer - Secondary Steel to be a part of the design team and drive forward our new foundation solutions.

The Civil and Structural department is the competence centre for all civil and structural related aspects of a wind farm on- and offshore, supplying cradle to cradle services, technical competences and project management all under one roof. We build on continuous improvement and entrepreneurial mind-set in order to set the standard for future wind foundations.
As our new Lead Structural Engineer for Secondary Steel your will the overall responsible for conceptual secondary steel design for our offshore foundation. With focus on application, cost, HSE and constructability you will navigate the stormy waters between the different functions within the organisation to develop the overarching design. You will equally be responsible to have the contact to our secondary steel designers ensuring timely delivery to the projects as well as QC on deliveries.
Furthermore, the main responsibilities include:
• Overarching design philosophy for secondary steel
• Project specific application of secondary steel concept
• Developing, evaluating and implementing new innovative solution into the design
• Day to day contact to secondary steel designers
• Quality Control of secondary steel documentation
• Liaising with other departments to secure aligned design concept
• Participate in negotiation with contractors to secure build ability of concept.
You are a structural and methodical engineer presumably with a practical application background. You are familiar with cost relating to manufacturing, the importance of health and safety and practical solutions for service structures such as platforms, ladders and gangways. You are proactive and have good interpersonal skills that will help you succeed in getting all pierce to nod to the same solution. You can work self-dependent while sharing and seeking knowledge in the team. You show initiative and have a flexible approach to your work. You can communicate technical messages on a clear and constructive way, have an innovative mind-set working result-oriented and meet required deadlines. In addition, the following qualifications are important for this position:
• B.Sc or M.Sc degree in structural engineering or equivalent
• Experience from either the operation of wind farms or manufacturing of offshore structures
• Experienced with design codes relating to the service requirements for offshore wind
• Min 5 years of experience within relevant area
• You are fluent in English, both in speech and writing
• Experience from the wind and offshore business
