Corporate governance

The Board of Directors is elected by the Annual General Meeting (AGM).

The Board, in turn, appoints a President and CEO, who is responsible for the day-to-day administration of the company in accordance with the Board's guidelines and instructions.

Is it possible to buy shares in Vattenfall?

No. The parent company of the Vattenfall Group, Vattenfall AB is a non-listed company, 100% owned by the Swedish state.

The Swedish Government has stated that it has no intention to privatise the company.
