  • Vattenfall divests Danish power plant

    Vattenfall is selling its CHP-plant Fyn Power Station in Denmark to Fjernvarme Fyn in line with group strategy to divest non-core assets and to decrease CO2 exposure.  Denmark remains a core Vattenfall market for renewable energy production.

  • Vattenfall has completed the sale of Thanet Offshore Wind Farm transmission infrastructure in a £164mn deal, approximately SEK 2 bln. The sale includes export cables and substations and is a part of the unbundling process.

  • Vattenfall and Skandia are jointly investing almost two billion Swedish kronor to set up four wind farms in Sweden with a total output of 141 MW. The farms will be run by a jointly owned company. This is the first time that a Swedish pension company is directly financing the construction of new Swedish wind power capacity, and the cooperation enables faster expansion of a sustainable energy system.

  • Vattenfall AB on Wednesday signed a 5 year multi-currency revolving credit facility for EUR 2 billion, replacing the existing EUR 2.55 billion facility.

  • Vattenfall's dam safety work is well developed and implemented according to a new independent international inspection report. The inspection was carried out by a group of world-leading experts in dam safety.

  • Olof Gertz leaves Vattenfall

    Mattias Holmberg appointed as acting Head of Human Resources.

    Vattenfall's Senior Vice President Human Resources, Olof Gertz, is leaving the company. Mattias Holmberg replaces him with immediate effect until a permanent successor is in place.
