ChlorOut AB has been awarded a contract from international technology group Andritz for application of the ChlorOut concept and supply of an IACM instrument for the new biomass-fired bubbling fluidised bed (BFB) boiler to be built in Växjö, Sweden. Commissioning of the installation is scheduled for the end of 2014.
ChlorOut is a unique technology that reduces corrosion, deposit formation and emissions when firing biomass and waste derived fuels.
"2012 has been a very successful year for the company", says Magnus Berg, Managing Director of ChlorOut AB. "The partnership with Andritz has developed well and the Växjö contract is the fourth consecutive order for installation of the ChlorOut concept in a new boiler delivered by Andritz."
Seppo Hulkkonen, Technology Director at Andritz Oy, points out that the collaboration with ChlorOut AB further strengthens the technology package that Andritz can offer its potential customers. "Corrosion prevention and emission reduction are the key technical challenges that we face in most projects, and the ChlorOut concept addresses both of these.”
