New Forsmark and Ringhals CEO

Eva Halldén will leave her position as managing director for Forsmark and Ringhals at her own request effective March 1, 2016. Her successor will be Björn Linde, today deputy managing director at Ringhals.

“From the time I took up the position as Ringhals MD, and later as MD of Forsmark, we’ve completed substantial modernization work. We also changed our organization with a strong focus on safety and stable operations. Now these key undertakings have been completed and I am looking forward to taking on a new role and continue to develop Vattenfall’s nuclear operations”, says Eva Halldén.

Eva Halldén became managing director of Ringhals in January 2012 and managing director of Forsmark in February 2014. Since then both facilities have improved availability with a string safety focus. Local opinion polls show that public trust for both Ringhals and Forsmark also improved under Eva’s leadership. Going forwards Eva’s main responsibility will be as sponsor for nuclear operations’ development projects.

“Eva has taken her organizations through significant changes and modernization work. It’s essential that she now continues to support developments in her future staff position”, says Torbjörn Wahlborg, Head of BA Generation and Chairman of the Boards of Ringhals and Forsmark.

Before taking up the position as deputy managing director at Ringhals, Björn Linde was head of maintenance. He has a chemical engineering degree and significant experience of large-scale production, including having been head of production at the Albany International manufacturing in Sweden, and co-responsible for Stora Enso’s program for productivity enhancement.

Authorities are informed about this pending change.
