Historically, much of our purchasing within this category has been done from companies in countries with strong regulatory and legislative enforcement and a strong practice of corporate social responsibility. This is changing, and new supplier markets such as, China, Turkey and countries in Eastern Europe are increasingly being used, although the number of such suppliers is currently still limited.
We aim to reduce the number of intermediaries in our supplier base in order to increase our own influence and control and working on applying consistent standards to our suppliers, based on our Code of Conduct for Suppliers which focuses on environment, human rights, working conditions and anti-corruption.
